Restoring the Land that Supports the Nation

We carry the pioneer spirit forward, clearing, restoring, and reconnecting people to the ground beneath their feet.

About Easton Hawthorn

When I was seven, my sister made me the Statue of Liberty for Halloween. My mother decided that if I was going to wear the crown, I should learn The New Colossus. So I stood in our living room and said it until I knew it by heart:

“Give me your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…”

I didn’t know the weight of those words then. Over time I learned that America is a haven and a promise, opportunity, responsibility, and the right to breathe free.

Farm Life

I grew up in eastern Washington. Summers meant planting rows on the neighbor’s farm, hauling irrigation line, weeding, harvesting, and selling at the Saturday market. At home I pushed a mower over acres of grass, tended the garden, and spent late nights canning cherries, peaches, and tomatoes with my family. In the fall we gleaned the fields, digging the potatoes and carrots the harvesters missed. We would pick apples and press cider until our hands were frozen and sticky. It was a good life. A real life. The kind where you help your neighbor, and there’s always someone with a tractor to pull you out of a ditch.

Restoring land

Those roots shaped how I see the land, not as a commodity, but as something living, worth restoring. Somewhere along the way, buying a few acres turned into paperwork and red tape. The country life became harder to find and freedom got harder to touch. I started Easton Hawthorn to change that.

What We Do

We look for the parcels that have been sitting, waiting, the rough, the overgrown, the forgotten and we bring them back to life. We work with counties, surveyors and local municipalities, mark boundaries, and make ready for the next stewards. Stewards who want to plant a garden, build a cabin, or simply feel the quiet of their own space.

It's more that a Business

To me, this work is a responsibility as much as opportunity. Not everyone sees the vision, but I believe in free range people, dirt instead of concrete, birds at first light, work you can stand behind. It’s the same American promise I memorized as a girl: if you’re willing to work, build, and care for a piece of ground, you should have the opportunity to do it.

That’s what Easton Hawthorn stands for: honest land, honest work, and the freedom that comes with both.
